Nesting Habits of a Beauty Blogger

It Has Begun...

Recently I have had a major 'nesting' surge as I have only one week until baby is born. This includes the usual adding a baby capsule in the car, washing baby clothes and meal prepping. Strangely it has also made me look closer at my makeup routine and thinking - probably a little too hard - on what the quickest and easiest way to put on an acceptable looking face in the morning can be. Lets all welcome the Tinted Day Cream from Dr Hauschka*.

The last week I have challenged myself (failing miserably the first time) to make my face look somewhat decent in 3 minutes. This is a very doable challenge when using a good quality tinted day cream. I want something that ticks all the boxes; good coverage, evens skin-tone and reduces redness. I want my tinted day cream to leave my skin with a healthy dewy finish and it must moisturise my skin as well. I have found that this day cream does just that!
With a quick swipe of this day cream I found that it is easily blendable and quicker to use than the Dr Hauschka Translucent Bronzing tint when in a hurry.
Don't be fooled by the dark pigment of the cream because once I started spreading it onto my face I found that it blended into my light skintone very well, giving me a sheer, sunkissed glow. I noticed that initially after application my skin felt quiet tacky but after about 30 minutes it dried and felt very natural to wear.
Due to the thick nature of this cream I would recommend it to normal, dry and sensitive skin types. If you have oily skin and are in need of a bronzing tint, I would recommend the Dr Hauschka Translucent Bronzing Tint along with your favourite oil-free moisturiser.
However, being a gal with a normal/combination skin type, I love being well rested in the knowledge that this natural tint also moisturises using Almond Oil, avocado oil and apricot oil, so that cuts out a lot of skincare time in my morning!

With a brand new eyelash and eyebrow tint and using a bit of concealer to hide the dark circles under my eyes, I love the quick and even finish that the Dr Hauschka Tinted Day Cream delivers. Say hello to my new '3 Minute Makeup'. Lets not forget a good organic lip balm too!

Pregnancy Q & A

The Details.

I have always loved me a bit of trivia, so I am going to answer a Q & A for you, if you are curious enough...

How far along are you now?
38 weeks exactly

What were your first pregnancy symptoms?
I usually get a funny metallic taste in my mouth and random spotting.

What was your first reaction to your pregnancy?
I cried when the stick read positive, I was so happy!

 How have you been feeling?
Myself and my husband will admit that I don't do pregnancy "well." I get tired from low iron and my hips ache something terrible. Its been worse this time round, at least with my first pregnancy I could walk around the neighborhood, cant do that this time.

 Do you still workout?
Nope. I continued going to the gym in my first trimester but then the morning sickness really kicked in so I had to stop going.

Are you going to find out the gender?
Already have. Its a boy!

How did you tell your families?
We waited until the safe 12 weeks but by that time they had kind of guessed anyways. my mum and dad are a bit cluey. We told Dans mum via phone call I think.

 Have you picked out names?
Yes we have but I find it easier not to tell anyone until after baby is born. I don't really want to hear other people opinions on what we have decided to name him.

How did you tell Daniel?
I thought I was being clever when I left the positive pregnancy test on the table so he could get home that night, look at it and be surprised. But instead he didn't notice I left it there and went straight to bed. In the morning I asked him what he thought and he had no idea what I was talking about! So I had to tell him then and there. So much for my surprise haha.

Who do you think the baby will look like?
Wouldn't have a clue. I think Esther looks more like Dan and his family so I'm kinda expecting the same for this little boy.

Will you be sharing weekly pregnancy updates on the blog?
No, but I have started pregnancy Vlogs that you can check out *here*.

Did you have morning sickness?
I had morning sickness during my first trimester. Nothing too bad just nausea and a little vomiting. The week my second trimester started, it went away.

Do you have any cravings?
Not anymore I don't think. In my first trimester I was feasting on salty crisps, Icy water and Apple juice. Oh and hot chips...
Come to think of it I am constantly in the mood for Butter Chicken Curry.

Do you have any food aversions?
Yes, but I have always disliked raw tomatoes :P

Weight gain so far?
7 kg. Its all baby and fluid. I don't really put on weight easily.

Any mood swings?
Well... In my first trimester I can get really teary then snap to being really lethargic. In my second trimester I had heaps of energy and I was fine. Third trimester, Im just tired but not moody, I don't think.

How do you think Esther will react to having a little brother?
I think she will be ok. She is very caring and pats my tummy. I think she will possibly smother the baby with cuddles but perhaps dislike me giving it lots of attention.

That's all the questions I can think of! If you have any more let me know in the comments, Ill be glad to answer them.

Have Fun!

*Review* SKRUB

A Permanent Place In My Bathroom

The new scrub  that has appeared in my shower is the Sea Salt Body Scrub with Lavender by Skrub*. Skrub is a Australian company that makes simple and effective scrubs for your face and body. Using basic ingredients and a lot of love this scrub is suitable for even the most sensitive skin types. I was gifted the Lavender scrub and if you know anything about me then its obvious that I love Lavender, I think I say that every time I try something lavender scented!

Being a pregnant lady I have to be careful about what I can put on my skin, But Skrub has only good stuff in it. Coconut Oil, Lavender Oil, Sea salt and finely chopped Lavender plant is all that is needed to make this the most satisfying and nourishing scrub for one tired mumma.
Adding a little warm water from the shower the sea salt gently melts and makes it easy to apply all over my body and I can immediatly feel the coconut oil doing its thing.
I love that after I step out the shower my skin is already moisturised from the coconut oil and my skin smells clean and fresh from the lavender, cutting out the extra steps of applying a separate moisturiser and fragrance. #lazygirl
The rejuvenating properties of lavender is also a plus because I can massage it into those horrible stretch marks that have been appearing overnight!

The Body scrubs range from $8.95- $10.95 and in my opinion are completely affordable! Skrub also sell Rhassoul Morroccan Purifying Clay and a variety of Argan Oils for your face and body.

If your interested in checking out their online shop, click **HERE**

I know that I would love to try the Coffee Body Scrub- Orange and Coffee Body Scrub - Espresso. What do you want to try?

Have Fun!

The 5 Love Languages of Mothers Day

Help I need Gift Ideas!Mothers Day Sunday May 8th

Do you send your mum presents and gift her items often but she still begs you to just sit and chat to her?
Why not look into the 5 Love Languages to decode your mum and find that perfect mothers day gift? I find that using this method of "gift giving" makes it a lot easier for me and makes my mumma (or friend ect.) a lot happier.

Words of Affirmation:
Write her a love letter of thoughtful poem. A few kind and meaningful words will bring joy to her soul.

Quality Time:
Take your mum to her favorite cafe or that new one she has wanted to try, buy her a coffee and give her your full attention. Phone turned off.
Or take a road trip together to the next town and wander through the streets together. Take her to the movies or a museum, whatever you feel she may like as long as she has your full attention.

Gifts:
If your mum delights in a gift (I do) it doesn't have to be expensive or fancy, anything thoughtful will do. Has she mentioned something she would like? A voucher to her favorite store, a bunch of her favorite flowers or some more supplies for her hobby could be just the ticket.

Act of Service:
The words and actions, 'I can do that for you' is a mothers best friend. Weather it be vacuuming the floors, weeding the garden, cleaning the car or anything that will take the load off. Don't forget that this comes under making her dinner or a nice cup of coffee when she is craving one.

Physical Touch:
Sometimes mums just need a cuddle. If you feel like your mum has this love language something simple like a cuddle or a kiss on the cheek will delight her. If you have planned an excursion to the mall why not link arms while you walk through the shops?

Have Fun!
