The Blogging Slump

But Why?

I don't think that I have slowed my blogging down to a halt and I certainly haven't run out of content, but there are circumstances in life when blogging just has to slow down for a bit.
Some things are in my control, such as recently I have preferred to watch TV after Miss E has gone to bed. TV is something I watch when I don't want to use my mind (which is a regular thing when I'm drained after a day of running around with a two year old).

But, most things have not been under my control, such as the colds that we have had one after the other for weeks and they don't seem to stop! Again, it makes me feel drained.
Miss E. is feeling ill too, so she wants me to stay with her until she falls asleep, this is fine. However its kind of hard to fall asleep with a snotty nose isn't it? This makes it a little late in the evening to start writing a review, even though I really want to.
And there is the big one, my camera is missing. We suspect a sneaky toddler has hidden it only where a toddler would know or she has popped it in the bin without me noticing. Oh yes, I am serious. It could very well be in land fill as we speak. Along with my prescription sunglasses?
But that's life. Things are things and can be replaced. Blogging is a nice hobby and a great way to chat about something I love with like minded people but I suppose a camera is an essential tool for beauty blogging.

Blogging slumps happen whether they are caused by factors with or without our control. I suppose I just want to say that I am still here. I still have a heap of skincare to write about and take photos of and things are always running through my mind. Ill always have something to talk about (whether there will be great photos I cannot tell).

Have Fun!

The Mum Tag

20 Questions.

It feels like a long time since I posted anything, even though it's only been a week. I have a cold and I'm in a bit of a blogging slump, but I wanted to do something fun. This is actually a tag found on youtube but I thought it would be fun to do this myself.  Obviously it's American because they spelt mum wrong. Haha.

1. Are you a SAHM or working mom?
I'm a stay-at-home mum looking after my two-year old daughter,  I don't like the workplace.

2. Would you have it any other way?
No being a mummy at home is great. I get to look after my house and husband and child without working an extra job, I like that.

3. Do you co-sleep?
Yes, the three of us share a queen size bed.

4. One must have gear for baby?
An electric breast pump is an absolute necessity for first time mums/breast-feeders. Also a car seat that also clips into a pram is handy so you don't have to keep swapping baby around.

5. How many kids do you plan on having?
3-4 Kids would be a nice number

6. Date night? How many nights (or day) per month?
Wet dressed up and go out probably once every two months. But we have a movie night at home once a week.

7. Your child's favourite show?
She loves The Wiggles

8. Name 1 thing you bought before you had your baby and you never ended up using?
A manual breast pump, it was too time consuming so I ended up borrowing an electric one from a friend

9. Your child's favourite food?
Home-made vegetarian nachos, I also made yummy chips from scratch.

10. How many cars does your family have?
Two

11. Weight gain before pregnancy, during and after, and now?
I think at most I put about four kilos on in my second trimester but lost it in my third trimester. Miss E. was growing so fast that I couldn't keep my weight on. I weighed less after giving birth than I did before giving birth.

12. Dream vacation with your kiddos?
Perhaps New Zealand

13. Dream vacation without the kiddos?
I would love to go on a cruise.

14. How has your life changed since your baby has been born?
Everything! I realise what's important in my life and how priorities can change so quickly.

15. Finish the sentence: "It makes my heart melt to see......"
My daughter following her daddy around and cuddling him.

16. Where do you shop for your kids?
My mother shops for her : ) Thanks mum!

17. Favourite make-up and skin care products?
Im a beauty blogger so I'm constantly trying new products. I love Lush, Toby and Rosie and Dr Hauschka.

18. Huggies diaper jeans: yay or nay?
What even are they?

19. Have you always wanted kids?
Yes

20. Best part about being a mom?
How hard work can be rewarded with just a cuddle from a sticky toddler.

Let me know if you decide to do this tag, I would love to read your answers!

Have Fun!

Tea With Alice

For Lovers Of Tea.

Are your tired of the whole Beauty Box subscription? Or are you looking for a new subscription to try?
A tea subscription from Tea With Alice may just be what your looking for. The last few years my interest in tea have doubled when I received a lovely teapot for our engagement, we promptly bought two matching cup and saucer sets and my love of tea soared.
Tea With Alice is a monthly tea subscription service delivered straight to your door. So how does it work? First choose the types of tea you like whether it be Black, green and /or Herbal, choose between a monthly, 3 monthly or yearly subscription and wait for your tea adventures to begin!
The teas come in an airtight zip-lock sachet, to help keep your tea fresh, and each pack contains 8-10 cups of tea.
All these teas have been lovingly blended for great taste and with pure imagination.

I recieved four teas this month.

 No Dress Code

'Orange Pekoe has had a long posh marriage to the service of High Tea. But this bright, delicate blend of Sri Lankan perfection requires no dress code: sip it in your PJ's or at the office, this golden brew is perfect for any time.'

 Sundance Kid

'Whilst your average day might nor require a gunslinger, you might, however, need some help putting out little fires all day long. If so, this gunpowder green is for you. Gunpowder green is traditionally rolled into shiny pellets to show off the essential oils within the tea. So if your day requires you to be Butch Cassidy, let this tea be your Sundance Kid.'

 Purely Peppermint

'The original and the best! Powerfully fresh, cleansing, light and invigorating the benefits of this tea are endless; tummy trimming, antibacterial, calming, the list goes on and on and on. But mostly it is just delicious. Purely peppermint: purely life.'

 Breakfast In Bed

'Waking up to the perfect cuppa will set you up for the day- this breaky tea is a triple treat; with a base of chocolatey Assum, the delicate twang of orange pekoe in the middle and the sweet high notes of malty Yunnan Red. This wake-up-cup will dare you to take on the day.'

Also included was this cute little tea diffuser shaped as a strawberry.
