1 Kiwi Fruit
1 Green Apple

I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed this shake. The stand out flavour was the kiwifruit, its a very fresh and tasty drink. Miss E. who had eaten nothing that day actually drank most of this. Winners are grinners.

9 Days of Healthy Recipies *Day 1*

Day 1 *Quinoa and Banana Cinnamon Pudding*

The last few weeks Miss E. and I have been very sick with colds and the flu so I decided to add more veggies and fruit in out diet. These are some recipes that we have been making the last week.

Breakfast:

I mixed some quinoa and water together and left it overnight. I the morning I heated up some soy milk and added blended banana and cinnamon to it. I then topped it off with puréed frozen berries. It was yummy and filling, I only managed to finish half the bowl.

I also had a glass of lemon water which is supposed to be really good at helping aid digestion and cleansing the system.

I won't write down every little thing that I have eaten because I think that may be boring to read and write but these are my favourites.

Keep an eye out for tomorrows recipes. Enjoy!

Have Fun!

Sample Sized Winners!

Rockin' Samples.

As a beauty blogger I receive (and buy) my fair share of sample sized products. I thought I would write a post dedicated to those pots, sachets and tins of rockin' samples that I have tested.

The most recent product I have tried is a face moisturiser called Olive Oil Face Moisturiser from Vasse Virgin Margaret River. To me this has quiet a thick and creamy consistency and on first impression I thought it would be too heavy for my skin. However I was proven wrong when on contact with my skin it seemed to change character completely and morphed into this lovely light and delicate lotion that my skin lapped up with relish. This cream has essential oils of Rose geranium extract and organic pomegranate extract for hydrating the skin. I absolutely loved the rose scent, anything with a natural rose scent and I am hooked! I am still using this sample as a little goes a long way.

This little pot that I wiped clean had the Anerah Organic Recovery Eye Cream which I used up pretty quickly. I really enjoyed using this incredibly thick eye cream for a change as I usually use lighter lotions. I felt the skin around my eyes was hydrated and firmer. I would recommend this to people with normal to dry skin types because I think the richness of the cream may not agree with sensitive and oily skin.

Top swatch: Zuii Organics Lip Tint. Bottom Swatch: Zuii Organics Liquid Foundation in Rose.

Isn't this the cutest? Zuii Organics gave me this sample a while ago and I am loving it! Zuii Organics use organic ingredients and essential oils in their cosmetics minus synthetic fillers. This little lip tint didn't have a name so I don't know what colour it is but it matches my lips perfectly. It doesn't make my lips a different colour it just gives it a nice gloss and shimmer.

I turn to this sample of Zuii Organics Liquid Foundation in Rose when I'm having a 'no-makeup' makeup day. What I mean is when I feel like wearing makeup but I don't feel like putting any effort into applying it. Zuii Foundation takes very little effort to get it looking perfect. This incredibly light foundation gives a light - medium coverage and a very natural finish. I particularly love how the sample has a doe foot applicator making it so easy to apply. This is the second sample of Zuii foundation I have bought. This will be a continuous purchase for me.

This handy little sachet of Emma organics facial fluid came with me for four days when I went to visit my parents, and there is still some left in it. This extremely light textured lotion contains no sulphates or parabens and is cruelty free. I loved how such a handy travel sized product can make me feel fresh and hydrated, even when away from home and with limited room in my suitcase.

The Lush Fair Trade Foot Lotion has two qualities I admire. It's fresh minty scent and it's pink! I received this sample at a Lush event I attended a few months ago and I am dreading finishing this pot. My feet feel cool and refreshed after rubbing this in and its the perfect remedy for tired feet at the end of the day.

I cracked open the ABC Arbonne Baby Care open in desperation because we had run out of soap for Miss E. I found this product mildly scented and gentle on her skin. Its was a great relief to find little samples of baby care around the house!

What samples have you been loving?

Have Fun!

*Native Box Unboxing* Autumn 2015

Let the Leaves Fall

I have recently received the new Native Box in the post, and now I am going to enjoy some lovely products this Autumn.

The first thing I see is a full size Absolutely Gorgeous Hand and Body Lotion, it comes in the scent Lavender and Mandarin. This beautiful, fresh scent reminds me of early spring when the weather starts to warm up, but will do very well on a bleak autumn day when you need a little sunshine in your skincare routine. I am stoked to find a full size Absolutely Gorgeous product in this box because I have loved the smaller samples I have tried.

I Found two little sachets of the Weleda Oat Replenishing Shampoo and Conditioner. As always with sachets I put these straight into my suitcase for when we go on mini-breaks. They are just the best! This shampoo and conditioner combo is particularly wonderful at adding shine and bounce to my hair. I always look forward to using these sachets because I know my hair will feel smooth, silky and most importantly, manageable when I'm on holidays.

Zk'in? Yes Please! These four little sachets are the Zk'in skincare Line Smoothing Serum. I'm in a bit of denial when it comes to lines and wrinkles. I don't have any yet but at 27 years old it's probably a good time to incorporate a preventative, right? If I was going to start a line smoothing serum, Zk'in skincare would be my first stop, they are cruelty free, certified organic and the serum is 100% synthetic free. Nice.

I have written a rave review on the Sealicious Hand & Nail Cream and Sealicious Hand & Foot Scrub so I know I am going to love these little sample pots. I have been neglecting my hands of late so I will make sure to use these. It's great to see Sealicious in Native Box this season.

I think I had about three rosewater sprays laying around the house at the beginning of the year and they have all been used up! I am happy to see Anerah RoseWater Hydrating Face Mist in the box. It smells amazing and it's so cooling on the skin. Rosewater is brilliant at hydrating the skin and is a lovely refresher during the day.

Have I mentioned that I love minty lip balms? Well I do. The Anerah Organic Mint Lipbalm has everything I want in a lipcare. Certified Organic ingredients. A fresh minty taste. Free from harsh chemicals and mineral oils. Check, check and check.

Ah, a makeup item. I have mentioned in previous reviews that it would be nice for a makeup item to be included and Native Box has delivered! This beautiful loose eyeshadow has no synthetic ingredients or artificial dyes. Fancy packaging is not Figure Essences' main aim, they pride themselves on quality product. I received the colour Summer Plum and it is an ideal Autumn shade with rich plum hues and a gorgeous shimmer that changes colour in the light. It can be used as a light base or for a bolder colour it can be applied wet. I'm looking forward to having a play around with this eyeshadow on the weekend.

Swatch of Figure Essence Eyeshadow in Summer Plum

I really loved this seasons Native Box, there was a beauty item for hair, body, face, lips, hands and makeup. There was heaps of variety. I think Native Box did a great job this time and I can't wait for Winters Box. I'm hooked!

What did you think of the Autumn Native Box?

Have Fun!

*Review* Dr. Hauschka Foundation

Natural and Organic Ingredients.

A brand new and very exciting foundation has been launched by Dr Hauschka and I am so happy to be able to show it to you. The Dr Hauschka Foundation* is a new and improved formula to the Dr Hauschka Translucent Make up. The formula has a new fragrance and improved shades with medium coverage.
I found this foundation was easily blended to give that perfect 'I'm not wearing any makeup I just look this flawless naturally' look. Even after a full day of wearing this I found that it did not become shiny or start to slide of my face. The new concealing properties blur out redness and dark circles, with just a tad more building of the foundation required, but still leaving it looking natural.
The natural finish of this foundation comes from the unique formula that has mineral pigments giving a radiant appearance as well as Apricot Kernel, Macadamia, Jojoba Oils and Coconut to nourish skin. All of these ingredients have been carefully included to really moisturise, protect and nourish skin.
This is one of those makeup items that I really enjoy wearing, It's not often I find  base that wont make me feel oily by the end of the day. The shade I wear is 01 Light Macadamia which is the perfect match for my skin tone. The new foundation comes in Five colours and retails at $58 for 30ml.

Shades
01- Light Macadamia Neutral for fair skin tones or used as a primer
02 - Bitter Almond Warm for light to  medium skin tones
03 - Fresh Chestnut Cool, medium Skin tones
04 - Sweet Hazelnut Warm fro medium to light dark skin tones
05 - Intensive Nutmeg neutral for medium to light dark skin tones.
